Be Kind

Good morning, after completing my morning routine of drinking coffee and watching the local and then national news I cannot help but think the world would be a better place if we made it a point to be kind to one another. I read again this morning the great Apostle Paul’s statement to the Church at Ephesus. He said, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Many have written about this before. There is a line in an old Don Henley song that says:

“…I’ve been tryin’ to get down
To the heart of the matter
But my will gets weak
And my thoughts seem to scatter
But I think it’s about forgiveness
Forgiveness…”

Don had figured something out before he wrote this song. It is all about forgiveness. I have found that it is much easier to be kind to people if I practice the art of forgiveness. Forgiveness begins in my heart. I want to encourage you today to sift through your life and take some time to do some a critical life evaluation. Look deep into your own life. Ask your self the tough question. Do I have unforgiveness in my life? Take the time to find forgiveness and then make it a point today to be kind to someone.

I love you all!
